New Decade, New Beginnings.

Happy New Year to all my readers!!! I know it’s coming late and I am really sorry (I am always sorry ughhh). My friends have been pressuring me to write this and I really can’t thank enough because they are actually doing the best to make me better. I want to thank each one of you for your time and support in 2019. Y’all mean the world to me and I don’t think I can trade you guys for anything.

I really appreciate the likes, comments and advises and I’m really grateful to be part of this blogging community. Most of y’all don’t know how grateful and happy I am when you click on my posts to read. You’ve been hella amazingggggggg!

2019 was not all that, it was filled with happy moments and mostly, sad moments that I had to deal with. I’m not a person of new year resolutions anymore. I don’t go by the “new year, new me mantra”. I find it hard to make resolutions. I have done so, in the past, and they just say that, RESOLUTIONS, but not achieved.

It seems as if every time the New Year rolls around, people go into the frenzy of making resolutions or the lifestyle changes and commitments that they follow for the first few days of the year and then the holiday is back to life as usual. I know I have done that more times than I care to admit, which is why I decided that resolutions were no longer for me. I got off the resolution hamster wheel and decided that there were few things I could do differently to ensure success in the coming year.

One thing I know is that I want to continue this amazing blogging journey, and have you people around me. I want to be useful to my readers, I want to keep you smiling and I want us all of us to learn, enjoy and appreciate all the little things life throws at us.

2020 started off on a good note, I guess. Even though I started this year weak, I still bounced back. If not because of those pressuring me to write this blog post, I wouldn’t have (call it procrastination or whatever it is). I actually thought I had overcame this, but look at me. Y’all can just give me the name already.

Currently listening to SLOW KINESIS playlist that Asher created. I think Asher has to be the best person you’d ever have as a friend or know. He creates the best things for people to learn from. If you’re interested in listening, click here.

I think I have made it a thing to recommend a new music or playlist to you guys. I will start collecting money from now on abeg, I need money please dears. This year is going to be different from last year.

I saw this trend on bloggers community, about you choosing a word or theme for the year, just like how GOT has a soundtrack or how other movies has a theme song, and I think it’s a very good idea to stay right on track. My word for the year will be PEACE OF MIND.

Sometimes we need a hard reset, we need to do away with things that doesn’t bring us peace. Peace of mind is actually underrated and it’s an important thing that we all crave, but people make it seem hard. I have learnt that stressing yourself over irrelevant things or people will drag your mental health and inner peace. Sometimes you will think these people are actually doing you a favour, but you eventually find out that they are doing it to their own advantage, which is bad for you.

There’s a huge difference between getting out of your comfort zone and doing something that makes you uncomfortable, most of the times people do the latter option and think they’re getting out of their comfort zone when in fact they’re doing things that don’t make them happy and they don’t feel good at all when doing it.

Having peace of mind and being happy is a choice and when you do things that makes you happy, you instantly feel happy, so you follow your passion and do things that fills your heart.

Whenever something stressful happens to you or you feel like you can’t do something, ask yourself these questions; Will this matter in a few weeks or months? Is it the worst thing you’ve gone through? If what you’re going through won’t matter in a couple of weeks then why should it matter right now?

Thinking about the most stressful time in your life will put everything into a perspective, if you were able to go through those times then you most probably will go through this as well.

Happy New Year once again. I hope you started this year right?

    Happy New Year, Aunty Molayo.
    Um… I’m not a resolution person too. I haven’t been for like four years lol but I guess everyone wants the same thing. We want to be way better than we were last year and we want to work towards it. Nobody wants to make the same mistakes they made last year so all we have to do is pray for God’s guidance and take one day at a time.
    I am also looking for money. Please, if you find where they’re sharing, let me know abeg. We rise by lifting others.
