Happy new month my people.
I hope you had a great weekend?
As for me, I did and I can’t wait to share my experience.
Thank you guys for the love and support you’ve shown for the past few months. If you’re new to my blog, let me reintroduce myself. My name is Anjorin Molayo, a student of the University of Lagos, studying Mass Communication.

As I was raised, charity was to give to those in need out of the love for humanity and not out of pity or out of that which was left over or not wanted. My mum has always been a believer. She made sure she helped humanity in any way she could. She taught us that helping people has to come from heart, you willingness to help the less privileged. I then decided to add “joining a charity organization” to my new year resolutions. I took one bold step in joining Live to Love.
You are probably wondering what live to love is all about, but you need to get yourself relaxed before you read on.
Live to Love is an annual outreach organized by wecare charity organization. It is a nonprofit organization which is aimed at alleviating poverty and providing quality education to students by mentoring and advising them on career opportunities available in Nigeria public institutions. This charity organization was cofounded by 7 undergraduates of the University of Lagos, from the Faculty of Business Administration. These people wanted to make sure they reach out to people, even as students. Their aim is to show people the real definition of love!!! Their relentless love for humanity was what pushed me to join this organization.
Joining them this year was a very big experience for me. I found out what love for humanity really meant, i realized that the enduring challenge for we humans is to consistently channel rivers of kindness, and extend love, care and compassion to our families, friends, neighbourhoods, communities, and all humankind in the NOW when they can, feel and appreciate the depth of these feelings as well as bouquets in this earthly domain.
This year, they expanded to 3 angles. They organized the school outreach, act of random kindness and community outreach unlike like last year’s outreach which was focused on only the community. Donations were gotten from sponsors, students and also volunteers. The school outreach was aimed at teaching the students how to become entrepreneurs through social media. The speakers were Steevane, Irebamiji and Big Bimi. I was lucky to be part of two outreaches, The act of random kindness and community outreach, and I can tell you that it was a huge success.

The community outreach held yesterday at Ago iwaya. I witnessed how adults and children lived their lives and it was so touching. We organized dancing competition for the children and also adults. We did not only stop at that, but played other games, and also face painting. We then shared the materials and the food stuffs to the community. It was tiring yeah, but was sure exciting.

Just look at the joy on their faces 😊

When we look around us, we will surely find those in deep pain. Showing love to these people can help reduce the burden they carry and ultimately prevent the idea of solitary escape. And, eventually the idea of suicide. Humanity in us should always be brought to the fore during these moments.
Our acts of charity should be a lifestyle and done effortlessly, without waiting for a debilitating condition to act. It is also good to enable love, kindness and compassion into our consciousness until it becomes a lifestyle. I will conclude by saying this;
Loving is life
The living spreads this love
And love makes life beautiful
Love and light!!!3
